Giant panda
Undid revision 1217795463 by UtherSRG (talk) https://dictionary.nepaliexpert.com/search/term/panjA | Panja is the correct word. Here, J is actually written as Y as most languages have the opposite sounds for J and Y. The correct term is in fact Panja. I am a Nepali and the word Ponya does not exist. Closest is Ponja which is just Panja.

- 15:2615:26, 7 April 2024 diff hist +21 m Giant panda →Etymology: Ponya is incorrect. It's a very different word from how it is spelt and spoken in Nepali. The word is actually "Panja", meaning Palm with 5 fingers in Nepali. Panja is closer to the word Panda than Ponya, which is incorrect. Tags: Reverted Mobile edit Mobile app edit Android app edit
