I added the following to the article but it was just deleted:

(The adjectival form of this term is "Sudanian" as distinct from that of the country of Sudan which is "Sudanese." Hence, one can refer to Sudanian savannas, Sahelo-Sudanian species, etc.)

...I think this is a valid and useful piece of information that belongs in such an encyclopedic article - several years ago I worked in an office where there were documents mentioning "Sudanese __ zone" which is technically incorrect and also confusing to readers. Please don't say that it belongs only in Wiktionary or someplace. What is the appropriate way to include this info in this article?--A12n 21:05, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just found some other articles using the term Sudanian in the title - Sudanian savanna & East Sudanian savanna. There are others using the term in the text. Would some sort of merging of articles be appropriate? I crosslinked this article and Sudanian savanna.--A12n 21:23, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This was tagged for a merge in June 2008, without any explanation that I can see, and no discussion opened or justification given here, so I've removed it. Moonraker12 (talk) 11:06, 9 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
