Angela and Otto Janko are very picky about the recipes that they post on Janko.at. They only post quality recipes that they have tried, tested and tasted themselves. They also include the number of calories per portion for each recipe. Many recipes have photos, hints, and tips. The collection has recipes for soups, salads, vegetables, desserts, jams and jellies, breads and rolls, and sauces and dips. Instructions on how to prepare various dishes of poultry, fish, beef, pork, lamb, veal, and wild game are presented. Christmas time recipes are also given.

Janko.at has an extensive collection of Viennese terms translated into German that can act as an aid for the communication amongst Austrians. Janko.at's Wieneri dictionary deals primarily with select words and a culinary phrases and terms.

Janko.at has funny stories on the differences between men and women, on work and economics, computers and the internet, politics and society, cats, cooking, Microsoft and Bill Gates, law, science, research and technology and more.
