Recipes

Angela and Otto Janko are very picky about the recipes that they post on Janko.at. They only post quality recipes that they have tried, tested and tasted themselves. They also include the number of calories per portion for each recipe. Many recipes have photos, hints, and tips. The collection has recipes for soups, salads, vegetables, desserts, jams and jellies, breads and rolls, and sauces and dips. Instructions on how to prepare various dishes of poultry, fish, beef, pork, lamb, veal, and wild game are presented. Christmas time recipes are also given.

Viennese dictionary

Janko.at has an extensive collection of Viennese terms translated into German that can act as an aid for the communication amongst Austrians. Janko.at's Wieneri dictionary deals primarily with select words and a culinary phrases and terms.

Humor and satire

Janko.at has funny stories on the differences between men and women, on work and economics, computers and the internet, politics and society, cats, cooking, Microsoft and Bill Gates, law, science, research and technology and more. There is a collection of "Requests For Comments" provided by the Internet Engineering Task Force and a collection of Little Red Riding Hood stories, each told by a lawyer, moralist, socialist, psychiatrist and by other professionals and in other styles, like in computer language.

Photographs

Otto and Angela Janko have award winning photo galleries of their wedding, home garden, and pets. They also have galleries of natural flora and fauna, parks, fairs, and more.

Cats

Otto and Angela's cats have their own diary, homepage, galleries, guest book, and Rainbow Bridge memorials.

Quotations, aphorisms and wise sayings

Janko.at's anthology of quotations and aphorisms contains quotes from Einstein, Mark Twain, Franz Christian, and others, and covers love, famous last words and mistakes, and more.
Janko.at also has a collectin of "Reformed Writings" where complicated sentences are translated into every day vernacular. Here's an example:
