Notability

I'm struggling to find reliable sources of information about this band. It does not appear that it meets the criteria for notability along these lines:

1. It is not the subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works appearing in sources that are reliable, not self-published, and are independent of the musician or ensemble itself. 2. It does appear to have some albums that charted with Billboard[1] but it is unclear if this is an acceptable chart on

Record_charts#Suitable_charts
3. None of other notability criteria for music seem to be met for this band, as far as I can tell. Can't link to the page but the Wikipedia notability guidelines for music are searchable in the site.

I removed what seemed like promotional copy and I'm looking for any reliable sources about this band...so far I haven't found much. Curdigirl (talk) 15:10, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Oh - I also removed the external link to their Facebook page. Wikipedia doesn't need to drive traffic there. Curdigirl (talk) 15:34, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ok - I'm stepping away from this article for a bit. Aside from the Billboard info, the only sources I could find on this band were largely unreliable. There are a few pseudo-blog musical sites on which they appear, such as:

  • The pier dot org - self-described on the site as having originated as a blog. Not sure what they are now - it's like 5 or six white dudes in ball caps. Doesn't look super professional or reliable.
  • Topshelfreggae dot com - no indication of who owns this site
  • The island sound dot com - again no indication of who owns or operates the site. Seems like a blog.
