It was impossible!

"After exchanging punts, Grossman gets intercepted by Darnell Dockett, who then took it 73 yards for a touchdown. However, the Bears challenged the interception, which was eventually reversed." I remember watching that game, and turning it off upon seeing that touchdown. It seemed flatly impossible for the Bears to avoid a loss. When I heard on the morning radio that they'd somehow won, I still couldn't believe it. Before that TD was reversed, their winning chances must have been nil. Looked like it was possible, because the Bears are who you thought they were!

I was hoping that someone knew of an algorithm that predicated winning chances based upon the score differential and the clock: I know that there are some for baseball, based upon score and outs remaining. I figured that -- using the score prior to the reversal as the starting point -- this may have been a comeback of record proportions. WHPratt (talk) 23:04, 15 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
