This wild card selection is a mess here. This article has "November 24, 2013" as the date. However, 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup#Qualified teams has the date(s) as "1–2 February 2014", though strangely the four teams are already there. 82.141.117.117 (talk) 01:37, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

That's because FIBA only announced the actual date of the announcement yesterday; for the longest time, everyone thought it'll be on November. Anyway, this would be changed. –HTD 15:13, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

While it is true that 2013 FIBA Oceania Championship were finished in August 18, the first reference in that article from May 24 states both are already qualified. So they secured their qualification when it was confirmed that there are only two teams in the championship. 82.141.117.117 (talk) 01:55, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

FIBA interestingly considered them qualified after the second game. There was s a very, very, very slight chance of a team forfeiting any of the games, which could be a reason for them not to qualify. –HTD 15:13, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This article is quite complete, covering all the qualifying rounds of all continental FIBA zones in detail, with even suspended being shown. Congrats to the editors for their hard work in doing the 2014 article much more complete than the 2010 previous one. But still there is something on the previous edition article that I think would be the cherry on the cake. This section. It's a sumary of the whole process of qualifying worldwide, showing side by side in a sight the rankings of all the final rounds of continental qualifyings, all the qualified teams and the perfomance of teams that took part of olympics and tems that received wild card. All of this in a glance, complementing the detailed information across the article with a global view summary. I think it would be great to have this as the last section in this article. I'd like to read other editor views on this matter and if you agree with the idea I can write this summary section based on the one in the 2010 article. 177.188.48.89 (talk) 19:32, 27 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There used to be a section like that but I removed it since it was redundant already since there's a ranking table for every tournament already. –HTD 03:03, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
