Harassment by user "ALPolitico"

This is Kurt Evans, one of the candidates in this race. User "ALPolitico" has been systematically defaming me via Wikipedia since at least July of 2016, and so far I've been unable to find anyone in the Wikipedia community who's willing to advocate for me.

Is there any way "ALPolitico" can be barred from editing this article? 216.249.249.105 (talk) 01:34, 6 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A few things: first, subjects of an article, or relevant to an article, can NOT request that certain information be included or withheld from articles on Wikipedia based on what they don't like, especially when running for office, per
WP:COI
. And that includes barring specific users from contributing. Further, candidates for office should not edit pages relevant to their elections, and can be blocked by administrators for repeat COI editing.
Second, defaming a person is not allowed, but I don't see any defamatory content. ALPolitico's only two edits to the page this year were this one and this one. One removed a link to a page that doesn't exist. The other put "perennial candidate" next to Kurt Evans. That is not systematically defaming.
Also, this is not the page to discuss editors. Article talk pages are meant to discuss content, not contributors. Tillerh11 (talk) 02:37, 6 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nearly everyone in the Wikipedia community seems to talk to me like you do, with that arrogant, lecturing, condescending tone. "ALPolitico" doesn't "contribute" information to articles about me. He removes information and replaces it with editorializing that's unsourced, derogatory, and often blatantly false. "ALPolitico" and I already had the "perennial candidate" debate in 2016, and even users who couldn't be bothered to help me in any other way admitted it was subjective, derogatory, and inappropriate for Wikipedia.
The guy won't leave me alone, and it's gone from irritating to creepy. Anyone who's not willing to help me is more than welcome to ignore this. Anyone who's willing to help me is more than welcome to let me know. 216.249.249.105 (talk) 05:21, 6 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This is again Kurt Evans, now the ballot-qualified Libertarian candidate for South Dakota governor. As I'd explained above, user "ALPolitico" has been systematically defaming me via Wikipedia since at least July of 2016, and so far I've been unable to find anyone in the Wikipedia community who's willing to advocate for me. "ALPolitico" has returned to yet again remove factual information about me and replace it with unsourced, subjective, derogatory editorializing. Then he also removed similar factual information about Constitution Party candidate Lora Hubbel, presumably to create an appearance of balance or something. As usual, he provides no reasons for his changes.

I still wonder whether there's any way "ALPolitco" can be barred from editing this article. I've come to doubt that anyone will ever answer, but I'm posting this here anyway for documentation. —208.53.225.81 (talk) 04:13, 11 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"Anti-Libertarian edit warrior"

Hey @216.249.252.81:, you want to take a look at all the elections pages where I've explicitly added Libertarians? Nevermore27 (talk) 19:44, 1 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Candidate order edit war

If y'all are going to get into an edit war over the order candidates are listed on Wikipedia, you need to re-examine your lives. As on all other gubernatorial elections pages, candidates should be listed in the order of performance in the last election of the same type. One non-confirmed user said he put the Libertarian first because he was the first candidate who filed. Well the section makes no mention of that being the criterium. Quit edit warring over this incredibly small detail. Nevermore27 (talk) 01:51, 4 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Consistent references to offices

I'm anticipating questions about this revision, and especially about the change to the article's second sentence. If one were to refer to the "incumbent Republican—Governor Dennis Daugaard," then "Republican" would be a noun and "Governor" would be a capitalized title. In this case the sentence is actually referring to the "incumbent Republican governor—Dennis Daugaard," where "Republican" is an adjective and "governor" is a modified common noun (lowercase). Additionally, all of the offices in this article are South Dakota offices. With the obvious exception of the article's opening sentence, it seems inconsistent to specifically name South Dakota for some offices but not others. —216.249.248.176 (talk) 20:31, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Analysis Section?

As this was a very large swing to the Democratic Party, maybe a section analyzing the results would be useful?
