    Pass/Fail:

Lead

  • "It was the 14th edition of the German Masters, first held in 1995 as the 1995 German Open, discontinued after 1998 and revived as the German Masters in the 2010–11 snooker season." - Think that this sentence strikes me as odd and could be pruned somewhat
  • "The event featured a prize fund of £400,000 with £80,000 being given to the event winner." - reptition of the word "event"
  • "who had won the preceding European Masters event." - try to avoid close reptition of the word "event"

Format

  • "This was the 13th edition of the German Masters tournament," - not mentioned by the Snooker Scene. Please locate a source that explicitly states this.
  • "The World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association and World Snooker organised the German Masters." - cannot see this mentioned by the Sporting Life. Please use another source

Prize fund

  • "all sponsored by BetVictor" - state that BetVictor is a betting company
  • "The breakdown of prize money for this year is shown below:" - how about the 2020 edition?

Tournament summary

  • "world number 56 Robbie Williams 4–5." - RTE states that Williams was the world number 59 not the world number 56
  • "European Masters finalist Zhao Xintong defeated 17th seed Gary Wilson 5–1." - the snooker.org main draw source should be used to verify this sentence
  • "World number two Neil Robertson completed a second straight whitewash over Elliot Slessor in the quarter-finals, having also defeated Mitchell Mann in the second round 5–0." - this sentence is not supported by SnookerHQ but is by the snooker.org main draw source
  • "Trump restarted the match, winning a further two frames to lead 6–4." - Sporting Life does not mention this but the BBC does
  • Reference 21 includes mention that it was Trump's fourth win in a ranking tournament and the 15th of this career; this is already mentioned in the lede but would be benefical to include in the main prose

Main draw

Qualifying stage centuries

  • "The highest was a 143 made by Tom Ford in his second qualifying round." - I feel that this sentence should include the opponent Ford played against when he made the highest break of the qualifying stage

References

  • Reference 7 is missing the access date
  • Reference 11 requires the author and the publication date
  • Reference 12 is missing the date it was published
  • Reference 13 needs the work that published the article
  • References 15, 19 and 20 will need the author of the article and the date of when it was published
  • References 16 and 18 needs the publication date
  • Reference 21 is missing the publication date and the
    Press Association
should be added as the agency that provided the story of the Sporting Life

The main issues are statements that are not verified by some of the citations and some problems with the Prose. Also, some of the references are lacking the basic parameters such as the publication date and the access date. On hold. MWright96 (talk) 08:12, 1 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
