Formatting events and dates - consistency

I'd like to build consensus on how events and deaths are listed by dates in this article. For events, we are following the format of Month as a header, followed by the date in the format of (day) (month) followed by a hyphen and then the event details. For deaths (which I have edited to be consistent with the pattern in the first few months), we use the format of month, followed by day and death, with no hyphen. The two formats are therefore:

Events
January
1 January - event
2 January - event

Deaths
January
1 Person A
2 Person B

I think it would be appropriate to have a consistent format unless anyone feels that two different formats for event and death categories is needed. I am aware this is a minor issue, but if we can build consensus, I will edit the article to ensure that the dates reflect the agreed format.
