Alessandro allori, ritratto di ragazzo

The Portrait of a Young Man is the "Craps on fire, yo" kid. Worthy of mention? I think so, but I haven't kept up to date with standards for that sort of thing. --Elijah (talk) 06:31, 14 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the curse word above. Cute, but on the whole this does not add to any understanding of Allori himself. No it is not worthy of mention.

With regard to Allori studying Raphael and Melozzo da Forli in Rome, I might include this if it bore substantiation by a source. I have been very reluctant to include the statement: Such and such artist went to Rome and was forever influenced by x, where X can be Michelangelo, Raphael, Classical statues, Bernini, etc. The Stendhal syndrome that is claimed for a select subset of artists is an overplayed assertion, and valid in a few circumstances. It is hard to travel to Rome and not see a Raphael or Michelangelo, in person, or through reproductions. So in other words everyone is influenced by Raphael and Michelangelo.Rococo1700 (talk) 04:48, 16 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
