What is the difference between cut time and common time? The article DOES NOT SAY. In the place where the notations are compared, it seems to say that they are the same but just written differently (maybe like italics and normal type?). Kdammers (talk) 03:42, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The first paragraph says that cut common time is 2/2 but the fourth paragraph says it is 4/4. Not an expert so don't want to edit, but https://www.pianotv.net/2018/11/cut-time-and-how-its-different-from-common-time/ is saying that cut time is 2/2 and that cut common time is 4/4.Magemu (talk) 08:29, 24 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The article is fairly confused -- looking through the history, the original mention of "common time" has been progressively mangled into the current confusion, so I have just rewritten it. Imaginatorium (talk) 10:40, 24 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
