Comment I didn't remove any tags. What are you referring to? No, you didn't, but reinstalling redirects while under discussion, IMHO is inappropriate, like removing tags. For your German wikipedia comment: this article is named according to the conventions, not how they named it at de:wiki (as shown if you followed the link) and in a few other Altona-related articles this former city is even linked (see

The redirect is not under discussion, the name of this page is under discussion. Redirects get overwritten all the time by

We discuss to move Altona, Hamburg to Altona (then redirected here). I think changing the redirect back (yes, Altona was moved to disambig for the purpose of this pagemove.) is my point of concern about your edits and actions.   • Support - the North American and Australian places of that name are tiny. The largest is the Australian one, which has fewer than 10,000 people. None of the North American ones have even 4,000 (the city in Pennsylvania is spelled differently). The Hamburg district, on the other hand, has a quarter million people. It is clearly the primary topic.

  • Oppose. Move Altona (disambiguation) to Altona. To replace a dab page, or a redirect to a dab page, you need clear and convincing proof that we have a primary topic. That case has not been made here. In fact there appears to be strong evidence to support the fact that Altona, Hamburg is in fact not the primary use. Dubious

I have marked the present section on etymology "dubious" and asked for sources: [2]. "All to nah" sounds very much like a folk etymology made to explain a name that's no longer transparent. If I may guess, something corresponding to High German "Altenau" might be more plausible. But that's just my guess. Heading titled "Diet of the Borough" possible rename or section rework

Given there are only a handful of places in the world where the word "Diet" applies to a legislative body (yes, I had to look it up), the heading as written is likely to confuse most people in the English speaking world who will be wondering why this section doesn't mention sauerkraut or sausages or some other ridiculous cliché.

Perhaps a rewording is in order to avoid confusion, and a small-in section explanation that the legislative body is known as a "Diet" with a link to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diet_(assembly) ? RobinsSL (talk) 02:20, 26 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
