Animated matte paintings

On P Productions' tokusatsu television series including Ambassador Magma, Spectreman, Denjin Zaborger and Bouken Rockbat, how did the traditional matte paintings by Japanese artist Yoshio Watanabe (渡辺 善夫 Watanabe Yoshio) got animated together, as if to copy the movements of cel animation, since they were often called "synthetic animation" (合成 作画, Gōsei Sakuga)? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.224.57.136 (talk) 21:59, 7 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
