I added the 1981 strike-forced split season divisional playoffs to both the NLDS and ALDS series pages. I do believe the records are accurate in both cases. NoseNuggets 11:36 PM US EDT Oct 4 2005.

Why is "If the 2006 Season ended today" a section? The season does not end today, and who's winning today doesn't matter unless today is the last day of the season and all games have been played. -- Win777 13:15, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"When MLB added a second wild card team in 2012, the Division Series re-adopted the 2-3 format due to scheduling conflicts. It reverted to the 2-2-1 format in 2013."

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of American League Division Series's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
