I believe the statement about Lupita D'alesio, and García's son homosexuality is incorrectly stated. As far as I know his son's orientation is not public. And Dalesio's declaration was that her husband at the time had an affair with García's son. Something that both men denied and both denied any acquaintanceship. D'alesio's Husband maintained that he was heterosexual and divorced D'alessio. The Garcías threaten to sue D'alessio for defamation. --Jcblackn (talk) 08:34, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He was born in Domincan Republic, but since his parents were both from Spain, he didn't qualify for a Dominican citizenship, like they do with people born in Domincan Republic to Haitian parents. His parents moved to Chile and then settled in Mexico City. He has never had Dominican citizenship, because it is prohibited that children born in Dominican Republic to foreign parents be Dominican. They do the same to people born in Dominican Republic to Haitian parents. They deport them back to Haiti.

"García began to flirt with the young women on the show, however, going as far as having an on camera kiss with one of the contestants, making his son grow frustrated and, eventually, leave the show."

This is incorrect, Leonardo "left" the show because he says he fell back in love with a woman from his past (outside the show). He never indicated nor showed that he was upset because his dad started dating one of the contestants (Lucia Senda http://images.ibsys.com/2005/0721/4752418.jpg).

(IF BORN IN DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, HE IS NOT MEXICAN HE WOULD BE DOMINICAN, HE MIGHT HAVE MADE HIS FAME IN MEXICO)

I think he acquired Mexican citizenship, so that makes him Mexican too. -- Rune Welsh | ταλκ 21:32, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Even though he might have mexican citizenship and consider as a mexican under those laws. He is dominican since this is where he was born. so he would be a dominican born, mexican...{{unsigned|Dominiman}

We have "Dominican" three times in the first two sentences. Don't you think we are patronizing our readers? I think mentioning twice that he is Dominican-born is more than enough. --FateClub 18:12, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Some magazine in the 70's published the story that he was a "lanchero" (boat boy) in Acapulco when he was "discovered" by a producer. This made him feel very Mexican for the public in general.

The previous paragraph does not refer to the same person. He was already a household name in Mexican cinema by the year 1974, when this other person was born. Mind you that García is an extremely common last name, same for the first name Andrés. There is even another famous actor with the same name: Andy García. - Jcblackn (talk) 08:34, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
