Question

Why does Origin read as her birthplace? I am Indian but was born in California. Where is my origin? Wouldn't that be in my father's loins and mother's uterus? --68.175.38.243 (talk) 18:04, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm also curious about the identification as British Indian. Is this true? She speaks English with an American accent, not a British one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LetMeLogIn (talkcontribs) 03:28, 2 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's clear that being born in London makes her a British Citizen. Where she spent her childhood isn't going to change the place of birth. 87.224.31.130 (talk) 14:51, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nationality

That she is British is sourced and confirmed as well as being obvious from place of birth, but why American, which is neither sourced nor explained. Also why not Indian (since both parents were Indian)? Pincrete (talk) 15:41, 3 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

British one is sourced, which also confirms the subject is not an Indian national since India prohibits dual citizenship, hence she's only of Indian descent. Also added citations for her American nationality (she's an American voter as well). Lancepark (talk) 19:28, 11 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
