I am employed at the Argyle Diamond mine within middle management and the information provided is correct as of March 2004.

Updated a bit on the geology of the lamproite, and updated the info about the underground which was given the go-ahead in october-november 2005. Rolinator 04:17, 28 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Inline Citations

The GA system is in an on-going debate over whether inline citations are required or not, I recommend you change your references into inline citations, first because it helps readers figure out which refs go to what, and second because it would help people sweeping through the GA list figure out whether an article is "Well-referenced" or not. Keep in mind, this article appears to of just snuck on through the system illicitly in the first place, so this may be delisted. Homestarmy 17:45, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well done

GA Sweeps — delisted

The reasons:

1) The artilce does not have inline references.

2) Some webreferences in the reflist are dead.

3) The lead is too short. I would recommend at least two paragraphs.

Article Revisions

I have started to make small updates to this article, so far I have repaired links, removed/hidden questionable references, added Tender information and updated total mine output to date. There is a lot of updating left to do. This article require input from Argyle or other RT staff in order to attribute references as per footnotes as well as provide other up to date information. Alizaarin (talk) 09:31, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I can't see what is overly promotional in this article. It is informative but not glowing or biased. I don't see the reason for the advertisement template added today.- Shiftchange (talk) 06:50, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I added the tag due to passages such as "The invitation-only tender event is a highlight of the coloured diamond industry's calendar. Access to the collector's edition catalogue and website access in itself is highly sought after."

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

Triggered by \bmining-technology\.com\b on the local blacklist

Diamond theft

I canot see any mention in this article of the systematic theft of diamonds from the mine in the 1980s and 1990s nor the subsequent trials of those accused. For reference, a few easy to find sources include: here, here, here, here, here, here, and here. Thanks. JabberJaw (talk) 00:56, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
