Merge proposal

As a musician, Edwards is only notable as a member of The Refreshments. As a writer, it is not clear that he is notable at all. None of his books have received any significant notice, except as a novelty fact ("Hey, this bassist from The Refreshments wrote a book.") If this were an article about just a writer, it would certainly face deletion. But, as Edwards was a member of a notable band, we can at least have a redirect to that band's page. I'm Art Edwards, and I am opposed to the proposed merger. In response to "As a writer, it is not clear that he is notable at all. None of his books have received any significant notice, except as a novelty fact ('Hey, this bassist from The Refreshments wrote a book.')" I have no idea what constitutes "significant notice" on Wiki, but my second novel Ghost Notes won the PODBRAM award for contemporary fiction in 2009. My third novel Badge (February 2014) was named a finalist in the Pacific Northwest Writers Association's Literary Contest for 2011. I've sold plenty of books, and can provide testament to their quality by linking to third-party reviews as necessary.

Moreover, the movie version of my first novel Stuck Outside of Phoenix premiered in Tempe, Arizona on May 2, 2013, and the producer is currently working on distribution for its national release. I wrote the screenplay for said movie. I've also had my nonfiction published in many national magazines, both online and in traditional formats. These markets include Salon, The Writer and Writers' Journal, all with significant circulations. It might be important to add that these articles were on the topics of writing and publishing, not as a "Hey this bassist from the Refreshments wrote an article" kind of thing. In such pieces, I only mention my connection to the Refreshments if it relates directly to the content. I link a couple of them:

http://www.salon.com/2012/11/18/letting_go_of_my_kindle_guilt/

Again, no idea if this is significant notice for Wiki, but I do hope it clarifies some things about my career.
