World record

Nizhegorodovs record wasn't acknowledged by the IAAF. There was no doping test at the competition on June 14th, 2004 held in Cheboksary, which was required by the IAAF for considering as a world record. The official world record was set by Robert Korzeniowski from Poland with 3:36.03 h at the World Championships in Paris (August 27th, 2003).--OlympicLegends (talk) 15:13, 3 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
