Plot I just watched the rerun of the pilot and I see something not quite right in this section.
...Lily helps her come up with a plan — pose as a teacher at Lily's middle school, meet and marry a rich single father...
Lily doesn't help Meredith come up with this plan. Lily just mentions two things. First, she mentions her social studies teacher (or another social studies teacher) was just fired. Meredith then steps off the curb as she's looking at one the copies of the photo that were posted around campus by this social studies teacher (which led to her getting fired) and is almost hit by an expensive convertible being driven by a single father. This is when Lily tells Meredith that when school lets out on Fridays, divorced fathers who have custody of their kids for the weekend come to pick them up.
