I'll never forget Barry

i was on vacation in new orleans prior to moving there one year with a girlfriend at the time, we were at "the circle bar". barry asked if anyone in the crowd played guitar, and i answered. he brought me onstage with him and let me play his own guitar while he relaxed and listened with a drink.

an amazing musician, a great loss to music fans.

I met Barry many years ago. A guy who was a good friend of the owner of the speaker company I worked for ran into him playing gigs and bumming around in the Newburyport/Plum Island area in MA, and tried to "manage" to production of some music. Barry lived in some spare office space at the factory for at least several months, and had a bunch of instruments and recording gear set up. I still have a four song demo cassette from that era. To keep this "on topic" I am going to see if I have any photographs of him that I can upload to use here. Huw Powell (talk) 01:02, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
