The municipality of Beaunay was renamed recently to become Beauval-en-Caux. It's miserable and ridiculous. A Jehan de Beaunay was next tothe Duke of Normandy in 1054 at the Battle of Mortemer against the rebellious barons. At school, in 1949, I was next to "Bichon" of Beaunay (I never knew his real name), a descendant of Jehan. This family is still very present in "pays de Caux" (three castles and one manor at least).
