Notability

Hi @

WP:NMUSIC notability (and only three) keeping in mind what he has written or said is not independent so cannot be used for notability nor those affiliated with him, only what other independent secondary reliable sources has in-depth written about him or about his work. Also pinging @Johannes Maximilian who last declined it for their input. S0091 (talk) 21:54, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply

Thanks you for your help, I am taking into account all the feedback in the new version. Dkoltorcan (talk) 21:55, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Published CDs and books count as notability, right? He has more than three. Dkoltorcan (talk) 21:57, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No... anyone can publish a cd or book, we require significant coverage in reliable independent sources. Theroadislong (talk) 22:04, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok so here is the proof for this:
The recording has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works appearing in sources that are
independent from the musician or ensemble who created it. His music publisher is MusicJustMusic in Germany: https://www.musicjustmusic.net/MUSICJUSTMUSIC.html
. All the CDs and videos are professionally produced (not self produced).
- The last CD he published: https://open.spotify.com/intl-fr/album/3d0Ox7UddZCEbEbvFxmu3C?si=yjSwt35QTduPXO-qvfHWuA
- This CD has been proposed for the Grammy Awards: https://open.spotify.com/intl-fr/album/18gMplIvWlurVBCFWr0AGp?si=FbrbIXIwR1SyhRG0vyfJqA
- Here is a third CD but he has 9 from the same editor according to his website: https://www.bernhardruchti.com/store-2/
This is for his music. There are multiple articles in the press too, written by others about him. I know you said only three but just in case, here is the rencent one in the press (online + published paper magazine):
https://www.rondomagazin.de/artikel.php?artikel_id=3325
There are others if you want. He is popular in Switzerland. Dkoltorcan (talk) 22:09, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@
user-generated content (useless), MusicJustMusic is a person with blog that offers consulting services (per the site: "We consult companies, brands & top management individuals on how to create innovative leverage with music & sound, whether in regards to their 1. marketing & communication efforts, 2. corporate & brand identity, or 3. leadership & team excellence aspirations.) so also useless, his website is useless for notability as is any interviews. All of these sources fail the notability and sourcing guidelines. I have to assume these are the best sources you have and not a single one is useful so the decline stands. If the draft is resubmitted without substantial relevant improvement, it will like be rejected, meaning it will no longer be considered. S0091 (talk) 22:22, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply

We don't need proof of the cds as mentioned above, publishing cds does not in itself confer any notability. Theroadislong (talk) 22:23, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok so here are three articles written about him by others:
- Article in Rondo Magazine (online but also paper published): https://www.rondomagazin.de/artikel.php?artikel_id=3325
- Article in Ars Organi (paper published): https://www.bernhardruchti.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/ars-ogani.pdf
- Article in Die Tonkunst: https://www.bernhardruchti.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Witthoefft.pdf
There are many others. As I said, Bernhard Rucjti is popular in Switzerland. Dkoltorcan (talk) 22:29, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Rondo Magazine is an interview so of no use. Theroadislong (talk) 22:33, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok here is another source which is not an interview:
- Tijdschrift van Franz Liszt: https://www.bernhardruchti.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/tijdschrft.pdf
The whole article is about him and his work. Dkoltorcan (talk) 22:35, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This isn't a back and forth where you propose three sources and if those are not sufficient, then you propose three more for consideration. Nope, done here. S0091 (talk) 22:38, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
and in any they are links to pdfs on his website? Theroadislong (talk) 22:39, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes because these are scanned articles of paper journals. Dkoltorcan (talk) 22:40, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I was just replying to your question, I didn't mean to offend you... can you tell me if the three last sources are sufficient?
Let me list them again:
- Article in Ars Organi (paper published): https://www.bernhardruchti.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/ars-ogani.pdf
- Article in Die Tonkunst: https://www.bernhardruchti.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Witthoefft.pdf
- Tijdschrift van Franz Liszt: https://www.bernhardruchti.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/tijdschrft.pdf
Thank you :-)
Dkoltorcan (talk) 22:40, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
How did you find the pdfs? There are no links on his website to them. Theroadislong (talk) 22:43, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes there are, this is where I found them. It is on this page:
https://www.bernhardruchti.com/buch-veroffentlichung/ Dkoltorcan (talk) 22:45, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
English version here with the same links: https://www.bernhardruchti.com/book-release/ Dkoltorcan (talk) 22:49, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

COI

Thank you to those who gave me advice and help on this topic. I have published the following comment on my page.

{{Connected contributor|User1=Dkoltorcan |U1-declared=yes| I declare that I had contact with the musician described on this page when I asked him for permission to use his picture.}}

I hope that this is sufficient to cover the COI section. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do. Dkoltorcan (talk) 00:28, 7 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
