House of Brick to Brick House (song), although this article needs some cleanup. Nelson58 (talk) 20:17, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply

This is one of the worst-written articles I have ever seen. It needs to be cleaned up if it is to even remotely resemble a thoughtful encyclopedic entry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.14.66.53 (talk) 01:54, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Odd Joke?

For some reason the version of this page I read listed Rob Zombie for Art Direction. Unless there is someone else by that name, I rather doubt he was involved, as he was born in 1965 - and hence would have been 12 years old when this song was released. I have removed this reference, unless someone has a reference for it. 24.58.37.208 (talk) 02:53, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • No, you removed his name from the 2003 cover version, so it was correct. Nelson58 (talk) 18:28, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Brick shithouse

The current article seems to imply that the slang for being stacked came from the song. Au contraire. It's an old slang term. My old man used that term all the time, well before the song. Also, we don't seem to mention the missing shit word (and again I wonder if the writer of the article didn't really even understand).TCO (talk) 20:29, 9 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The context in which I've heard this phrase is in the description of a person's build. One might say, "He was built like a brick shithouse", i.e., he was very muscular, or built like a body builder. Presumably both are formidable structures, as it were, though I don't know why shithouse is used for the analogy. It's a phrase used a lot in and around Birmingham, but I'm not sure how wide spread its use is beyond the region. I've found this from an online urban dictionary which gives other explanations, but not much history to it. Cheers

Creation?

The creation is not so well written. "Told them to knock it off, went to sleep," it doesn't make sense. Also, the creation sounds alot like made-up fiction. Is that reliable?
