Remix

I added information about the electro remix, sourced from http://www.htfr.com/more-info/MR225263 ...not sure if this is a proper source, so feel free to find/add a better one. Also this source does not credit the song to Rene Amesz but numerous others do.

Description

I added a little musical description of the song.The Chicken 23:49, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

YouTube Comment

In the article there is a passge that says "However, Kiedis is known to lose much of the quality of the song, much in his voice. This is easily seen by simply finding concert videos on Youtube". Is this comment about YouTube needed? Would it not be more generally informative if it were to say "by simply viewing videos from Red Hot Chili Peppers concerts". 82.45.187.59 19:17, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

By The Way played at concert

It states in this article that By the way is reserved as one of the last songs played at a red hot chili peper concert. This is not true as in the just recent austrailer/ New Zealand tour, this song was played realitvly in the middle. Im removing this comment for now, feel free to change it back if you have evidence to prove me wrong. ---

I think instead of "last song," it should be noted as last on the set list before the encores.

site: "http://www.stonecoldbush.com/component/option,com_gigtrackerdisplay/Itemid,4/"

This is a pretty popular fan site, and their set-list history is pretty extensive, compiled by fans who attended the concerts. For each Australian and New Zealand concert, "By The Way" is listed as the last song BEFORE THE ENCORE, and usually the 18th or 19th song, which would hardly put it in the middle. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.173.211.254 (talk) 14:46, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

actor for cab driver

Why was the fact that Dave Sheridan plays the cab driver removed? --85.126.128.10 19:34, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of By the Way (song)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 03:20, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

But @Koavf: By the Way (Theory of a Deadman song) already existed in March 2017? This was presumably a good faith error. In ictu oculi (talk) 08:34, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Probably just thought of it as the most common song with the name. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Justin (koavf)TCM 08:39, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but you agree now that it was a good faith mistake yes
