Conference or Convention?

I just looked at the website for CSICon 2017 [1] and must note that everything on the site says it is a Conference. So the opening line in this article which says "CSICon or CSIConference is an annual skeptical convention..." is confusing. Conference and Convention have similar, but not exactly the same meaning. (In a nutshell, a conference is a more scholarly affair than a convention, so I believe the use of "convention" here is wrong and should be avoided. I also note that following the wikilink for skeptical convention actually goes to an article titled "List of skeptical conferences." That's "conferences"... not "conventions." Does anyone disagree with me making a change? RobP (talk) 03:25, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. 8==8 Boneso (talk) 06:28, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I made the change, including changing one other use of "convention." RobP (talk) 18:27, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
