"Capitalist Republic" seems less like an actual form of government and more like a socialist buzz-phrase. There's no such thing as a "capitalist republic"--capitalism is a natural outgrowth of free economic action. There can, however, be a Socialist Republic--having constitutional laws providing the government powers necessary to keep a socialist system in place (like in the former USSR, or China). Governments can't instate capitalism, they can only allow it to happen. The US Constitution, for example, allowed for the development of capitalism by implementing a fairly rigid system of checks and individual rights protections. But its government is by no means officially a "Capitalist Republic". So this article has no real merit. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.44.104.206 (talk)

I think it would be valuable to mention in the article that "capitalist republic" is not a valid form of government (and the rest of the points made by the first person who commented in this discussion).
