In 2008, it was announced that Abbie Cornish would star as Cathy in Peter Webber's new adaption of the novel, alongside German-born actor Michael Fassbender's Heathcliff. Cornish scored the role after Natalie Portman and Keira Knightley refused the part.

I find in the article, " the famous ghostly utterance, "Let me in your window - I'm so cold!", [was later used by Kate Bush]". There is no doubt that Kate Bush sang this (though she actually sang "I'm so cold/Let me in your window"). But I can't recall this quote in the book, nor find it in the Project Gutenberg full text. Indeed, I don't see how it could be there, as the ghost does not appear to the reader. Early on we find "let me in" (but not "I'm so cold") but this is not the ghost of Catherine in the story, it it is a dream of Mr Lockwood. I won't touch the article, as I may have missed something, but I suspect this is a false memory or popular myth. 185.59.207.210 (talk) 16:35, 16 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
