Central Arkansas Transit Authority, Central Arkansas Water, Central Arkansas Library System
, United Way of Central Arkansas, Literacy Action of Central Arkansas, Central Arkansas Planning and Development District, etc etc.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, the state's #1 newspaper, is based in Little Rock. Searching for "Central Arkansas" brings up 30k results, where searching for "Little Rock metro" brings 4k results, with "Little Rock Metro Area" bringing 1k results.

KTHV brings similar results; 5k for "Central Arkansas" and 142 for "Little Rock Metro".

The two main population centers in Arkansas are Central Arkansas and Northwest Arkansas. Few identify as living in the "Little Rock metro" and no one identifies with living in the "Little Rock-North Little Rock-Conway, AR Metropolitan Statistical Area". The current naming conventions are cumbersome, to say the least, as well as largely being official for the sake of being official. Thanks, and I appreciate all of y'all's consideration. • Strong support per nominator. We are in the business of natural and concise titles at Wikipedia, after all. Red Slash 03:59, 22 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
