This article could really do with some translation from the French edition. Will make a start when I have time but I would want it checked by someone with a better command of French Adamcobb 20:34, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Have added some still more to be done though Adamcobb 20:49, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There is obviously a long list of ships Constructed by the yard. "Windward" 1993 for NCL(Lengthened from 190 to 220m at the yard in 1998 and renamed "Norwegian Wind"). I beleive the yard has a trademark oval window, 3-4 decks high, at the forward stair on passenger ships, Windward has this, also I think several of the cross-channel ferries.

Ownership 2021-

I think the article does not report the current (2023) ownership status correctly. From their website:

In 2017, the head house of STX enter in receivership and has to let go STX Europe, its only profitable activity, of which STX France is part.At first, the Italian group Ficantieri is selected to take over Chantiers de l’Atlantique after STX.

A Franco-Italian agreement is finalized. This agreement stated that Fincantieri would hold 50% of the shipyard’s part owned previously by STX, with one additional percent lent by the French government for 12 years. [...] France owns 84.34% of the capital through the APE (Agence de Participation de l’État – State participation agency) while Naval Group owns 11.67%. The rest of the shares is divided between the employees (2.4%) and various local companies (grouped under the name COFIPME) (1.59%).

Eventually, on the 27th of January 2021, Ficantieri declared, though a common communiqué by the French and Italian governments giving up on Chantiers de l’Atlantique acquisition.
