v. Chinese Room

The chinese room argument is not, to my knowledge, ever known as the "Chinese Box" argument, so I have removed this from the intro. The confusion comes from two sources:

  1. Some people just accidentally call it the "chinese box argument". This is a mistake
  2. Larry Hauser wrote a paper called "Searle's Chinese Box: Debunking the Chinese Room Argument," which is a kind of play on words, connecting the "chinese box" metaphor with the the "chinese room" argument.

If you Googol "chinese box" Searle I don't believe you will get anything substantial except Hauser's paper, citations of Hauser's paper, etc. Correct me if I'm wrong. ----CharlesGillingham (talk) 05:50, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
