Recruiter

Calling Prof. Andrew the "main Cambridge recruiter" for the Security Service is utter rubbish. I am removing this. Varangian 09:22, 1 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cambridge Intelligence Seminar

I'm not sure about the ethics of this, as I'm a member of the Intelligence Seminar, and regular attendee at the Study Group on Intelligence (so this might fall under the provisions of 'original research'), but I feel that I need to correct some of the inaccuracies attributed to Ronan Bergman's article. The name of the group that meets at Corpus is the University of Cambridge Faculty of History's Intelligence Seminar, usually referred to as the Cambridge Intelligence Seminar. It was founded by Hinsley. Saying the Dearlove 'regularly attends' is something of an exaggeration, although he has been known to be there. Classified information is never discussed, as Chatham House Rules cover the non-attribution, rather than the non-disclosure, of information. I also corrected the grammar a bit, as it seemed to imply that historians were not academics. :-) Dreadnought1906 12:11, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Removed lead section tag

I removed the

lead section cleanup tag, as it looked like the job had been taken care of. --Belgrano (talk) 18:56, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply

Is it possible to have some examples of his jokes ?

In an undergraduate lecture I attended once he read aloud from a Barbara Cartland novel. That was funny.86.129.197.121 (talk) 18:43, 8 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Is he politically correct or Jewish?

In the book The Sword And The Shield there is not any word about Mossad, and The Jewish lobby is only a conspiracy theory. According to the book the "Zionist conspiracy" is "a favorite theme in Soviet disinformation". Without level-headed reasoning these sound quite biased to me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.44.6.31 (talk) 13:49, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Peter Jackson - need dab

The article says "Former students of Andrew - including Peter Jackson" Clearly this isn't the Lord of the Rings director; none of the people listed at Peter Jackson (disambiguation), including the historian, fits the bill either. If this Peter Jackson is notable, we should write an article about him; if he isn't, we shouldn't link (and maybe shouldn't bother mentioning) him. -- Finlay McWalterTalk 10:36, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
