Colden Common
Apart from the Tyre Pyre, and Victor the Giraffe, Colden Common was in the news during the 1960's the when a 'Crime of Passion' was committed in the Mobile Home park on Main Road. I have added this to 'in the News' Also the village was mentioned during the recent flooding, as the Environment Agency has a base there. In addition to this Benny Hill's (English Comic) Family owned a shop in Fishers Pond. With Benny Hill himself seen walking through the village in the late 1950's. The shop has long since gone.Bettybutt (talk) 04:34, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Maria Fitzherbert chapel citation
Unable to find source for the building of the chapel by Maria Fitzherbert except on Parish Council history, http://archive.is/TT4C#selection-269.0-269.28, and unsure if this is a reliable source. Tacyarg (talk) 19:06, 5 September 2017 (UTC)
