With reference Broadcasted TV program on 4 May 2010, TV Tokyo, describes she was 79 years old as of November 2007 when TV crew visited in second time ( the first visit was 15 years before, in 1992). The her born year is stated 1938, but year 1928 might be correct. Does any one check and rewrite born year with another citing sources/reference? --Namazu-tron (talk) 06:32, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Born on May 24th, 1928, she and her sister were left orphaned as children and their upbringing was taken up by a Yaghan woman close to their clan. In the present, she works in basketry, with reeds that she collected herself^[1], and she lives in Villa Ukika, two kilometers away from Puerto Williams. She had nine children (seven surviving), fourteen grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren^[2]. She and her family have been working toward the conservation of the Yaghan Language, dedicating themselves principally toward conserving everything which involves their culture. Joined by her granddaughter, Cristina Zárraga, they have been compiling a dictionary with words from Yaghan^[1] and they edited a book called Hai Kur Mamašu (I Want to Tell You a Story that contains stores and legends about the Yagana people.^[2] Her daughter, Lidia González, works as a monitor in the Jardín Étnico (Ethnic Garden) in Villa Ukika, teaching children to speak the Yaghan language so that they conserve their traditions.^[3] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ec1995 (talk • contribs) 21:44, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
