removed claim that singular is crotal. Every piece I can think of that calls for a single crotale uses "crotale." As well, I couldn't find a single maker of the instrument that uses crotal in their online catalog. removed reference to C6-C7 and C7-C8, both because the terms are not useful to a reader who doesn't know what a crotale is and because different makers make different ranges available. For instance, Paiste sells up to F8 and has made microtonal ones (for some of Michael Udow's work, as I recall). Removed language that crotales sound like glockenspiel, for NPOV purposes. jp2 07:54, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

Crotal Bells ?
This section should not be here at all. Crotal Bells are NOT crotale, they are not even similar. Given that confusion may exist between the two, purely because of the sound of the name, a link could be made. Not sure how to do that.
