Was Curtis really Cherokee?

This article reports Curtis as an enrolled member of the Cherokee Nation. I do not have access to the reference cited here, but I have seen numerous references to the effect that he was Kaw on his mother's side (his father was European), with some mention also of Osage and Pottawatomie blood. Do we have somneone out there who can help settle this? Nandt1 (talk) 12:09, 26 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No, not at all. He was Kansa, Potawatomi, and Osage. -Uyvsdi (talk) 18:34, 26 January 2011 (UTC)Uyvsdi[reply]
