Proposed Deletion

I removed the propsed deletion tag for two reasons,
1) The concern listed is that the person was non-notable, personally I think being chairman of a county legislature certainly makes you notable.
2) The explanation goes on to say that if the article was improved, the tag should be removed. If a person is non-notable than no amount of improved writing will make them notable. The article does need improvement, but bad writing does not make the person non notable.EMT1871 10:45, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I put the prod in place and I suppose I should explain why. Local politicians are not notable enough for Wikipedia, and I believe this guy counts as a local politician. Also, the "if the article is improved" bit is a standard part of the template. It's there no matter what the reason the prodder gives for deletion and cannot be removed. Since the prod was contested, I'm sending it over to Articles for Deletion and there can be more discussion. RedRollerskate 16:29, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
By the way the tag I removed, which said to remove it if anyone disagreed, also said the tag should not be replaced if removed.EMT1871 20:14, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It was not replaced.
