Area?

Any thoughts on what area counts as Dartmouth Park? I would say the railway line to the South, Dartmouth Park Hill to the East, Highgate Road to the West and Swain's Lane / Chester Road / Raydon Road to the North form the borders. Beest 23:59, 27 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Historically Kentish Town went just past the railway (the house next to the Southampton Arms, with a plaque saying Southampton something) is mentioned as Kentish Town (and the KT end of Fortess Rd used to be the village centre, much closer than what we consider KT as now). Also Highgate didnt really start for quite a while - Holly Lodge Estate is not historic Highgate although its hard to consider it as Dartmouth Park either. East and West is much clearer. Pevsner I see has a very narrow definition, centred on York Rise; taking the length of York Rise as the north south definition seems a bit small to me. These areas though are very vague, and subject to estate agent creep. Justinc 01:08, 28 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps we should rename this article 'Highgate Borders'... Beest 08:24, 30 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure if she does live in DP any more. Her article says she moved into a home in Hampstead in 2006, and I don't recall seeing her about this year. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Beest (talkcontribs) 00:36, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
