Early Career Decision

Would it be appropriate to mention the basis of David Warner's early career decision to be an actor? It seems that he had a chance conversation on a train with the actor Charles Kay (RSC Associate Artiste, QV) who suggested that he try for a place at RADA, for which he was accepted.Miletus (talk) 09:54, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That picture

That photo of him is awful. He's old, yes, but actually doesn't look nearly that bad. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.31.169.66 (talk) 12:21, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have a black and white photograph of David Warner in full costume as Shakespeare's King Henry VI, taken by me in 1964 at the RSC. He is sitting in the Greenroom (canteen) having a cup of tea and a cigarette. The costume and makeup represent Henry VI having spent many years as a mental patient and he does not look good. I'm a bit hesitant about uploading it, because of this, what do you other wikipedians think?Miletus (talk) 10:11, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I checked the Wikipedia policy on this and I will certainly need a model-release to use the picture. So I will shelve the idea for now Miletus (talk) 13:37, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Another tv show/film that he's in

He was also in the BBC's "Sweeney Todd" (2006) in which he played police chief Fielding. Here's the link to IMDB. Quillaja (talk) 05:22, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

He also appeared in Providence

This article doesn't mention what was possibly his most important appearance in a serious film: Providence, by Alain Resnais, Dirk Bogarde, David Warner, Ellen Burstyn, Elaine Stritch, and John Gielgud. 92.154.4.250 (talk) 21:15, 6 September 2010 (UTC)Les Brown[reply]

Neglected To Mention......Or, Did You Just Not Know?

Actor David Warner has, as we all know (or at least most of us anyways), done numerous voice work in animated television shows. What has not been mentioned is that he has also appeared in a few episodes of Disney's Gargoyles as the character known as "The Archmage" who primarily appeared in the 3 part story arc "Avalon" as the primary antagonist. Here's the proof of that information:

http://www.tv.com/shows/gargoyles/avalon-part-three-48337/cast/

He's also done a few episodes of Spider-Man: The Animated Series as a character known as Dr. Herbert Landon. If you need further proof of that, as well as other shows he has done, then I have provided the links to both his TV.com page as well as his IMDB.com TV filmography page below.

As I have stated on previous wiki-talk pages in the past, I would make these additions myself, but I severely lack the skills in editing pages on Wikipedia when it comes to including links and signatures. I've tried many times to improve or perfect these skills, but I can never get them right. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aidensdaddy2k9 (talkcontribs) 19:02, 13 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Since it seems that not many people pay attention to this page, I went ahead and added the information myself, complete with the proper links to the other articles. I am finally getting the hang of this. Aidensdaddy2k9 (talk) 02:15, 27 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Baldurs Gate 2

On the BG2 article, I'm getting push-back that Warner voiced Jon Irenicus in Baldur's Gate II. This isn't even something that I thought would be controversial, but admittedly, there's no citations WRT to Warners voice acting that I can find. Warner is credited in the game itself and in the print manual, but I can't find any way to make a proper reference to this. This seems to be an extreme level of Wikipedia silliness. He's an iconic voice that should be immediately obvious in the same vane as James Earl Jones, John Rhys-Davies or Sean Connery.139.138.6.121 (talk) 03:39, 26 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Years Active

Suggest years active be amended to 2020. It appears David's last acting roles were in 2020 (voice only in Teen Titans Go/and for an audio drama of Doctor Who). 2607:FEA8:5CA1:8F40:D18A:8304:DD55:F5BD (talk) 22:51, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like he's recorded more audio work for the 60th anniversary Doctor Who special which is yet to be released, so I would hold off on that. Don't know much about it like when it was recorded, but it was announced by his co-star, Christopher Eccleston: [1] [2]. Jerodast (talk) 08:01, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
A few other tidbits of news seem to state the audio series will be called "Once and Future" and released from May to October this year.Jerodast (talk) 05:21, 20 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like someone has already added that, derp. In any case I guess regarding the "years active" question, it's fair to just say 2022 since his work was obviously recorded by then, unless there are guidelines that it should be based on year released rather than year produced.Jerodast (talk) 05:26, 20 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Table formatting

@Jerodast Hey, could you correct the formatting on the filmography table. I am a bit rusty on wiki tables. I realized that SOS Titanic need to be deleted as it was a TV movie, listed elsewhere, but keep screwing up the formatting.--Bellerophon5685 (talk) 19:58, 11 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like someone else has done this. Good! Jerodast (talk) 18:25, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
