Pharaohs of First Dynasty

The article on Djer lists him as the third Pharaoh of the First Dynasty, while this one lists Djet as the third. The article on Djet's successor Den lists Den as the fifth, which would make Djet the fourth Pharoah of the First Dynasty. The discrepancy comes from the controversy over whether Menes and Hor-Aha were one and the same, but it would be nice to come up with some consistency.--Syd Henderson 03:20, 8 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The view that Narmer/Menes and Hor-Aha were the same man is still a minority view, as far as I can tell from my own reading (which admittedly is a little out-of-date). If only for the sake of consistence with other articles, I've gone bold and changed "third" to "fourth", so that the line of Dyn. 1 pharaohs runs: Narmer/Menes, (Hor-)Aha, Djer, Djet.
