Apparently, McClurg is under court ordered conservatorship due to dementia and there has been additional court filings alleging serious matters. I also notice the article doesn't have a Personal life section. Not sure if the allegations should be in the article but health related items, life, marriages, children, etc, maybe? Major outlets are picking up the court proceedings so might be able to get some personal life info from reliable sources. I'm not up to doing it at this time but another editor might think about it. Some sites have 1945 listed as her birth year and some have 1951. It's more likely it's the former. Because her high school yearbooks are on classmates.com and she's listed and pictured as having attended Bishop Lillis High School from 1958 to 1962. Which is the same school her brother Bob(who is also pictured) attended. Plus she got her BA from The University Of Missouri Kansas City in 1967.

So unless she's some sort of child prodigy, it's very unlikely she graduated high school at 10 or 11 and then graduated from a university at 16 or 17. A lot of websites do have 1951, but that's because they're getting it from other websites. A lot of sites these days tend to web scrape without doing any fact checking. I would say that's sufficient source to add to the article right now. (Also, being 77 in 2022 would put her birth around 1945, and would also make the dates of her education match up.)

Missouri Birth registers as well as various current public records all list her birth as July 23, 1945, and she is listed in the 1950 U.S. Census in April 1950 as age 4, so this also confirms 1945 as her year of birth. I fully realize this is considered original research, so I'm not adding it or requesting the specific date to be added; I just wanted to confirm the 1945 year that some sites give. @Kman543210, do you have a link or cite to any of this, esp the exact age so this can be settled once and for all. The tabloids have made such a mess creating and spreading the wrong year of birth, imo. Unfortunately, I have looked for the eldercare abuse probate court records that The Today Show relied on in my comment above and they aren't public, as far as I can tell, which would settle it. Even a cite for the Census you mention could be used for the 1944/1945 year of birth cite. P37307 (talk) 03:36, 1 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, the Missouri Birth Registry I'm accessing is Ancestry.com as well as the public records I found, and I believe this is considered original research because I looked it up (not certain about what Wikipedia considers reliable secondary sources to be honest). I did find this exact birth date on several fan sites as well as the biography blurb on Amazon Prime for McClurg's entry. For what it's worth, I do trust the accuracy of the date, but again, I don't know where the date can be found in a source that's acceptable for Wikipedia. So I just did a web search for Edie McClurg July 23, 1945, and a ton of sites came up giving that as her birth date.
