Simpson Memorial Maternity Hospital
– This stub bears an incorrect title. The name of the hospital in Lauriston Place should be used here, because of the reference to the "first purpose-built maternity hospital in Edinburgh". The Maternity Pavilion, as stated, was built inside the grounds of the old Royal Infirmary and demolished several years ago. Kim Traynor 01:12, 1 March 2012 (UTC)

Sean Connery

An editor has added a claim three times that Sean Connery was born at this hospital. The BBC says he was born at 176 Fountainbridge, a block which was demolished in the 1960s.[1] Dormskirk (talk) 18:07, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The claim that Connery was born at the hospital has now been cited: I can only assume that the BBC is mistaken and that Connery was simply brought up at 176 Fountainbridge. Dormskirk (talk) 18:50, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
