The DNB indeed gives E. Dodwell's birth date as 1767 (but not 30 Nov. 1767, as shown in the box here). However, the Trinity College, Cambridge immatriculation record also cited here states: "Admitted Fell.-Com. (age 18) ... Apr. 11, 1795", which would yield a birth date of 1777. Perhaps the DNB had it wrong? Age 18 for immatriculation seems more normal than age 28 - as is implied here. Age at death in the box would also need to be corrected.
