England caps

Hi @Northern Wonder,

Please note that whilst the table added to the Results section has data copied from the Rugby League Record Keepers Club website, the RLRKC website currently only reflects World Cup matches. That is why, for example, the tally for Emily Rudge is 11, rather than the 27 caps that Emily has actually achieved.

In the months leading up to this World Cup, I collaborated with Neil from RL RKC to supply and or validate information. Julia from the Life With Lionesses project and two former Kiwi Ferns and current NZRL employees were also involved in the collaboration. We managed to identify all appearances for England since 2007, however we are missing the score for the first game in July 2007 and some point scorers in some matches in 2007, 2008 and 2009.

  • July 2007 missing score and scorers but have the team named prior from the referenced article
  • July 2008 have 12 of the 42 points
  • World Cup v Russia have 66 points of the 72.
  • World Cup v France have 40 of the 54.
  • 18 July 2009 v France have 24 of 28 points, missing the goal-kicker

The plan is to look to resolve any remaining gaps after the World Cup concludes, and upload non-World Cup games to the RL RKC database. The reason it was not done before this World Cup started was time constraints, with all parties needing to focus their time on the World Cup.

The Life With Lionesses Project has organised a reunion for tomorrow night (November 9) in which, I understand they plan to announce Heritage/Cap numbers for the Great Britain Lionesses (1996-2003) and England (2007 onwards). If you're a twitter user you may wish to have a look at the WomenInRugbyLG twitter handle.

If you wish, I would be happy to convert the Most Caps from the list I created to a table. A reason I had not done that sooner was the missing info as described above.

Should you wish to contact me you can direct message me via Twitter at JohnCMoriarty, or leave your name and email address here, temporarily, and I will send you an email.

Update Hi @Northern Wonder,

Your table has bene both moved to World Cup Appearances and copied and updated under Most Caps. Tries tally are of those known to me.

In the positions column, I have used the positions the players have played, again as known to me. Jodie Cunningham has played in all those positions. This can be misleading, Kirsty Moroney played one game at Stand Off and the rest at Scrum Half
