English translation of band name

A pun-saving attempt to translate the band name could lead to "First Public Unsurance", although that is obviously grammatical nonsense. "Uncertainty" rather corresponds to the more static "Unsicherheit" and fails to convey the absurd financial connotations.

Yep - the translation "Uncertainty" is quite wrong. "Verunsicherung" is the act of making somebody insecure or to unsettle someone. "Unsurance" sounds good, but people have to think too much.... --89.59.14.252 13:05, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
How about "Unsettlement"? --89.54.130.26 07:59, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The name is an allusion to the opposite of an insurance (company). Specifically, the name is a play on the name of the past Austrian insurance company Erste Allgemeine Versicherung. Similar to the expression "unconference", the most appropriate English translation is probably "First General Uninsurance".
