Follow up #2 to Edit Request

Hey @Kingapresa!

Thank you so much again for handling this request. You’re great to work with.

  1. In regards to the formatting: I looked at the list-defined reference link you sent (thank you for pointing me to that). I tried for quite some time and unfortunately couldn't figure out how to do it, so I arranged it like the one JP Morgan has where there's a note at the bottom pointing toward all of the references. This way, there is no longer any repeated citations and the table now formats in single lines. I think you should just be able to copy and paste it right into the article now. Let me know if you're okay with this?
  2. Regarding the stock price link: Could you try checking the link again for the average stock price? The link is working for me so not sure why it would be showing up blank. If you scroll down, below the graph with the green and red bars, you will see all of the numbers listed! Of course! Thank you for locating all information from the sources. Do not worry about the list defined references; I like your idea about having everything condensed into a note section like JP Morgan's. You're right it will ultimately fix the issue with the repetition and that each row will lay on a single line. Double win.
Huh, the link to macrotrends works for me now. No longer blank. Glad it will work!
Would you agree to put the table under "business growth and size" rather than making a new heading for it?

 Done Published! I put it under "business growth and size," but you could put it under a new header like "Financial data" without needing to request another edit.
Thank you for all your cooperation with this edit request - I hope you are happy with the finished content. What took a little more time was making the sources a bit more robust, adding page numbers amongst other things. I removed 8-Ks from the list of data sources because it didn't seem like any source was an 8-K.

I would say < 24 hours is far too soon to be switching to "was". Buildings still bear this name, accounts are likely still accessed under this name, etc, etc. "Was" should be something used (if ever, as again is a former also accurately reflects the situation and avoids was altogether) after years of being defunct/closed (and presumably long after any account/transition has been completed). —Locke Cole • t • c 17:02, 1 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Personally, I've always reserved the "is a former" for situations when a company still exists but no longer offers a particular service, or in biographical articles, for a person who is still alive but no longer practices a certain occupation (e.g. an ex-legislator who has not held or sought public office in decades "is a former politician"). Another comparable case could be
WP:TVNOW, which says that all TV shows should be referred to in the present tense in their lead sentence (e.g. "I Love Lucy
is an American television sitcom") even after ending production, because they still exist as programs that can still be viewed and shown.
But this is a bank that no longer exists as an independent entity. Nobody can just now begin banking at First Republic Bank. By virtue of the logistics of changing signs, updating websites, etc. the remnants of First Republic Bank will remain for a while. But there's no business called "First Republic Bank" that's actually still operating as of this morning.
