An article from Statistics Canada, found by typing "Foreign Affiliate Trade Statistics" into Google, indicates that Foreign Affiliate Trade Statistics is an internationally recognized term. It's specialized and we could use a good international trade statistician to work on the article and make it more comprehensible - but I think that shows a need for the article rather than a reason to delete. -- Siobhan Hansa 17:03, 30 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Remember, Google is not the only source worth considering. Accurately documentng foreign-affiliated trade is actually one of the most important topics in international trade, particularly in the battle against protectionism. DOR (HK) (talk) 04:08, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As it says, "Collection of such information, and aggregation at the national level, can provide economists and policymakers with insight as to the relationship that transnational corporations, being FDI-related enterprises, have on economies." Per

WP:MOSCAPS says that a compound item should not be upper-cased just because it is abbreviated with caps. Lowercase will match the formatting of related article titles.
