per ADT and flanging. While sourced, the remarks are woefully inaccurate. Automatic Double Tracking is not per se flanging. I don't have the time or the inclination to write this up, but this isn't good. Flanging is a phenonemon of sums and differences owing to pitch and time. ADT does not per se, through itself provide the very same effect. The article on ADT reveals the source of this confusion (a joking comment by George Martin which Lennon siezed on). A 'flanger' made in the US is not likely to be a mere 'version of' the Beatles ADT machine. In addition, the 'phasing' innovation attributed here describes the flanging effect. A phaser one would purchase in the US ca early 70's, eg., Maestro, does not provide a flanging effect. Which is a particular effect, which can be got by holding onto the tape flange of one machine playing the same content back in sync with another machine, to provide the phase differences of pitch and time. In fact with traditional double tracking, which you could better equate with 'chorusing', you would tend to want to minimize the more pronounced 'flanging' result, more of a jet plane passes overhead result. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jan civil (talkcontribs) 23:39, 31 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Lucian Truscott Article

To whomever wrote this article: I am trying to locate the article for a piece I am doing for David Ferguson. If you have any way of helping me track down the article, or have it yourself, I would most appreciate the help. Thanks, Adrian

Link to Discogs is not working

Binksternet,

I do appreciate the clean-up on my edit of 9/7/13. Clumsy? Yes. But unneeded? NO. The link to the Discogs artist page is still not working.

Thank you.
