Dear Alifalsafi,

Thanks for your explanation. There is much to talk about. Of course these people that you named are (or were) important and known to Gorgani people, I agree with that, but here in this Wikipedia, we should mention people who are known in Iran, if not in the world. As'ad Gorgani is a renowned poet, known worldwide, we can't compare him with a kind helpful doctor who helped people: they are both important, but in different levels. I don't agree with you that Jasmin is a Gorgani only because her father was a Gorgani, but about others, if you have clear and convincing information, they can just be named Gorgani, but let's stick to the safe side and not put anyone in the "notable people" section unless we are sure that they are indeed notable. About "Torang Teppeh", I agree with you, but I don't know much about it. About suchte-saray, even if you have some information in Farsi, that would be good. Currently what is missing in this page, I think, is a couple of photos, if you are living in Gorgan please take some nice nice photos and put them here. Khodafez hamshahri! 11:16, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Gorgan / Gurgan

Some sources do refer to "Gurgan", but is there any good reason for the current switching back and forth between Gorgan and Gurgan in the body of the text? I propose we note the spelling "Gurgan" once, but otherwise use Gorgan throughout. -- Picapica (talk) 05:34, 25 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

In the absence of any objections, have now made this change. -- Picapica (talk) 16:02, 28 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
