Government Organized Definition?

Implying particular countries such as Iran -when western govts also organize demos like Free Tibet and several in Iraq etc-does seem somewhat suspicious and not very impartial either.

I agree that defining such events is somewhat difficult. For example, in Finland where I live, there was a recent event called "We have a dream" which supported multiculturalism, which is also the official policy of the government. While there were certainly many enthusiastic individuals involved, politicians and even bureaucrats took part in organizing the event. The vice-mayor of Helsinki (who is supposed to be a neutral bureaucrat instead of being a politician) even personally arranged access to the electrical grid for the demonstrators' equipment. Speakers of the event were mostly politicians, bureaucrats and well-known journalists, researchers and other prominent persons.
Also, there has been officially sanctioned and organized "occupations" of the University of Helsinki. As all Finnish universities are public (in the sense they are financed with the state budget), all university officials are in matter of fact bureaucrats of the state (virkamies). These occupations refer to the events of '68 when genuine student radicals carried out the so-called Vanhan valtaus and occupied the student union offices to protest against the university policies. Murky motives seen behind Iran blasts was removed. It was alleged that the news site belongs to an Iranian opposition group and that group is a terrorist organization. First, I don't know who sponsors http://www.iranfocus.com/modules/news/. Second, even if it were maintained by the National Council of Resistance of Iran, I won't conclude that everything from that Website is simply fabricated and false.--Chalybeate 19:55, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps not everything is false. The problem is that such a group is unreliable, so it is best to use other sources. The Behnam 02:26, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Useless

There is no such things as a "government organizied demonstration". —Preceding unsigned comment added by MUCHERS22 (talkcontribs) 16:58, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

actually yes there is, it is true that iran, red China, Cuba, the soviet union, Fascist italy and nazi germany all had governemtn organized demonstrations, in countries where the governemt has 100% power, and free speech is all but dead, people are not allowed to have real protest, instead they are forced to perticipate in in government organized demonstrations, which are really just works of propaganda — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.17.78.167 (talkcontribs) 08:13, 2 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
